Mr. Bandy Yuen, who was born in Canton, China, went to Hong Kong by himself and started his career as a kitchen helper in his late teens out of necessity. His knowledge comes exclusively from hands-on experiences and the sincere love of Cantonese cuisine. After Bandy moved to the United States in the early 1980s, he has worked for many different types of Chinese resturants across the States to gain the foundations of Chinese cookery skills. In 1990, Bandy opened Golden China Retaurant in Graham, NC, a privately owned non-franchise Chinese restaurant, and that has served many local residents since.
High Quality foods
Our recipe is inpired from Cantonese cuisine, which is lighter in taste (less seasoning) than other Chinese regional cuisines. This makes the quality of ingredients crucial for even the most basic dishes. We use fresh and high quality of ingredients from the same trusted U.S. suppliers since we opened 25 years ago. As our regular customers may have already known, we always make sure the taste and quality of foods stay consistent and good. All sauces are fresh house made 2-3 times a week in order to cook healthy and delicious Chinese foods for our customers. There are many Chinese buffets in the US today; however, we are and always will remain as a Sit-down restaurant because we truly believe that the tradition of excellence in Chinese cuisine comes from freshness and our dishes are cooked fresh to order with fresh and high quality of ingredients.
Foods safety and sanitation have always been our top priority. Besides serving quality of Chinese foods, we work hard daily to keep a clean kitchen and store food ingredients properly. We are pround to have one of the cleanest kitchens in North Carolina.
